Agavni is an Armenian artist living and working in Brussels, Belgium.
She was born in Athens, Greece and has worked at the European Commission in Brussels since 1985. In parallel to her professional activity, she has performed in different workshops in painting, drawing, and photography and has participated in various exhibitions.
She is taking painting classes at the "Académie des Beaux Arts de Watermael Boisfort”; she also studies the theory of art, history and appreciation of art, study of the human figure, and drawing.
In December of 2008, she exhibited her oil paintings at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium.
In April 2010, Agavni exhibited at Galerie Fayla in Brussels, Belgium.
Agavni is developing her own original style based on human emotions. Her work expresses the strength of feelings, through the use of words, sublimating the image. She demonstrates a deep sensitivity to the alchemy of the colours. To appreciate more her style read her statement.
