Artistic Focus

While I have experience with various techniques such as pastel and watercolor, I prefer oil paint for its ability to best reflect my feelings and emotions. My visual art studies at the Académie des Beaux-Arts at Watermael-Boisfort, which began in 2006, solidified my focus on oil paintings.

Creating an oil painting requires patience and resilience, as it involves working layer by layer to add motion, color, and perspective.

Combining Abstract and Figurative Art

My earlier works were influenced by British painter William Turner and were largely abstract. Over time, I have shifted towards figurative paintings with a focus on movement. I am now exploring a combination of figurative and abstract styles, as seen in some of my recent works.

About me

I am an Armenian artist, born in Athens, Greece, and currently living in Brussels. My journey to Belgium began in 1984 when I moved here with my family. Since 1985, I have been working at the Commission of the European Union. Alongside my professional activities in Brussels, I have conducted various workshops in painting, drawing, and photography and have participated in numerous exhibitions.

My artistic education has been enriched by my studies at the “Académie des Beaux Arts de Watermael-Boisfort,” where I am developing an original style centered on human emotion. I am also deeply engaged in studying the theory of art, art history, the appreciation of art, and the human figure.

My work strives to express deep sensibility through the alchemy of colors and the sublimation of images.
